Import Word/Pages/PDF, Export to Word/Pages/PDF

I am enjoying all the organizational features of ThinkBook, but I am concerned about the lack of ability to export notes to other formats. If I cannot export the notes from a meeting, for instance, or relating to background research I want to share with associates, then there is no use to my taking notes in this app.

When will we be able to export effectively to Word, Pages and PDF?

Thank you,
Joseph

I have discovered a pretty serious glitch whenever I try to link to DropBox to take advantage of the save as text option, which is that as soon as I link to DropBox, it instantly limits the white screen of my contents page, or any inner page to just the top portion of the screen, and also pushes much of the list of notes or notebooks up out of view. The only way to fix this is to de-link from DropBox and restart the iPad.

At present, there is no way for me to offload notes to other formats, without putting my device at risk, it would seem.

Joseph, there is a bug when linking to DB in landscape mode, please do it from portrait mode and it will be fine. How many times are you linking to DropBox?

How are you putting your device at risk?

Joseph, you can export notes as text, I'll be adding support for emailing them straight from the app soon.

Thank you for the updates. I'm glad to hear email export is coming soon. What about export to outline form, so I don't have all the plain text extras I never typed?

I understand the plain text functionality, which is great, but for the most part, I envision using that feature very rarely and would prefer to be able to export formatted text in the same outline form I see in the app.

I noticed after several attempts that it seemed to be a landscape issue. I had to link and delink several times before linking in portrait mode and learning that it worked.

The program would freeze and it seemed other functions were slower. I have only had to shut the iPad down a couple of times, and today had to do it each time I linked to and then delinked from DB. I don't know if iPad is different, but in past experience, the need to shut down a laptop because it is freezing, even when due to a specific glitch winds up starting a degenerative process. I have a policy of not using software that causes such freezes.

Will it no longer have this problem if I only backup to DB in portrait mode?

Joseph, the problem is when you LINK to DB. If you link to it in portrait then you can do whatever you like from that point on. Hope to get you a fix soon.

+1 for PDF export. Word/pages import/ export would also be nice, but I think that would take more doing to get right (maybe a plugin for office?). PDF export should be fairly straight forward to implement and would tie in nicely with your email feature.

    Hi,

I totally agree! One of the uses for this great app would be to capture meeting notes, and later send them in an (outlined) text based mail.

For GTD i really like it, but would greatly appreciate the possibility to have nested tags.

BR and thanx for a great app!

May I ask to support different wiki syntaxes? The exported source is like a wiki page, so how about supporting different syntaxes like mediawiki, confluence ASO

I also want to express my desire for a PDF export. This app is by far my favorite way to take notes, but without a nice looking export I can't share these notes with co-workers! It makes me not use the app which is a travesty!,
